Leandro Marziotte won a first prize at the International Handel Competition in Göttingen. He has also been finalist at the first international countertenor competition in Lugano. He holds four diplomas, a Master’s degree in baroque singing from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, a bachelor’s degree in singing from the Strasbourg Conservatory, as well as a higher diploma in lyrical singing and a specialisation in contemporary singing.
Renowned for his agile voice and theatrical talent, he regularly participates in concerts and productions of operas, including Gluck’s “Orfeo ed Euridice”, “Serse”, “Orlando”, “Agrippina”, “Jephtha”, “Brockes Passion”, “Deborah”, Handel’s “Rodrigo”, Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas”, Monteverdi’s “Orfeo”, Britten’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, among others.
He has made numerous recordings for prestigious labels such as Sony Music, Harmonia Mundi, Ricercar, Arcana, Alpha, CPO, Ambronay and Accent.
An international artist, his career has taken him to major theatres and concert halls around the world, such as the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Maison de la Radio in Paris, the Chapelle Royale in Versailles, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Philharmonie in Cologne, the Bach Festival in Leipzig and the Handel Festivals in Halle and Göttingen, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the Teatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, the Sala São Paulo, the Teatro Solis in Montevideo, the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, the Teatro Mario Laserna in Bogotá, the Pushkin Palace in St. Petersburg and the Maison Symphonique in Montreal.
