Oratorio for four soloists, violins and basso continuo.
This oratorio was composed in the middle of a quarrel between Jansenism and the Catholic Church over the theological concept of Grace.
Here Grace in all its splendour defends the Immaculate Conception of Mary from the attacks of Heresy.

Musicians: 8 in total - 4 soloists (soprano, countertenor, tenor and bass) and 4 or 5 instrumentalists: two violins, viola da gamba, harpsichord/organ and (optional theorbo).
